Our boats
Fun & Sun Dive & Travel has a fleet of locally built boats, known as bancas. Made of wood and bamboo, these boats have outriggers on both sides, which make them stable and comfortable to ride.
There is ample space to lay down and while simple, our boats are comfortable to bring you over the turquoise waters and between beautiful islands.
Boats sizes differ and our largest boat can carry up to 30 guests. There are cushions to seat and lay down while enjoying the trip.
Our services
While the majority of our guests prefer to book a boat privately with their family or friends, we do arrange tours for anyone to join as well depending on the availability.
The applicable rates will depends on the routes, destinations and potential add-on such as our delicious BBQ lunch or a Discovery Scuba Dive session.
We usually use the pier beside the Movempick Resort in Punta Engano, Mactan as departure and return, specific pick-up and/or drop-off locations can be arranged as well.
Race with dolphins, watch the sunset with friends at the end of a day at sea will make unforgettable memories.
Our BBQ lunch
We are proud to say that our BBQ lunch remains one of the highlight of the island hopping experience with Fun & Sun Dive & Travel. The fresh ingredients are purchased on the local market early morning to be cooked and served on board a few hours later. Our standard menu includes grilled chicken, pork sate, squid or shrimps (depending on the market availability), puso rice and fruits. With advance notice, we can amend the menu to fit our guests desire or restrictions.
Snorkeling activities
There are four main marine sanctuaries, which are favorite sites for any visiting guest eager to discovering our rich marine life. Among them, SAN VICENTE, HILUTUNGAN and NALUSUAN sanctuaries are probably the best sanctuaries for snorkeling, considering their shallow waters and drops-off. There are marine park fees to be settled to the local collectors, when engaging in such snorkeling activities.
Fun & Sun do provide snorkeling sets if required and our crew could guide our guests during such activities. Life jackets are provided as well.
Special destinations : the Sandbars
There are currently three sandbars, which makes a wonderful destination for a day at sea. The north, the south and the middle pass sandbar. These magnificent sandbars rise from the ocean at low tide, offering a peaceful hideaway with smooth white beaches and clear blue waters. Visitors can sunbathe, photograph seabirds, and explore the nearby aquatic life. The sandbars disappear at high tide, making each visit unique. The sandbar is a must-see for nature lovers seeking peace and solitude as most of the time, no other boats are there.... Pack your sunscreen and underwater gear and explore these idyllic island getaways.
Discovery Scuba Dive
For guests who are not scuba diving certified, we do offer the opportunity to discover the underwater world during an introduction dive under the supervision of one of our professional divers and this can be arranged during a day of island hopping.
At a very shallow depth (5 meters), you will have the chance to experience the feeling of scuba diving and to have a glance of the amazing marine life of the Philippines.
