Fun Dives Cebu
Located in Punta engano, mactan. It is a 10m area excellent for Discover Scuba or Open Water course and even a Refresher Course. There is a wall Drop off and you can find different variety of corals and especially interesting are the different species of micro fish, Nudibranches, and other rare fish at a shallow dive. A motorized boat is available for pck up and drop off but most Divers prefer Beach Entry.
Approx. 20 mins boat ride straight across our Dock. It is a Fish Sanctuary perfect for snorkeling and Diving. There is a small wreck at 10meters and Fish Feeding is allowed so you can experience fishes feeding off your hands. Schools of jacks,parrot fish, Rabbit fish and sweet lips are always spotted in this dive spot.
Located about 40 mins away by boat, it is an island south of Sta. Rosa island. It is the largest Fish Sanctuary in the Area. Abundant coral formation can be found at 3 meters gradually slopping into a Drop Off. Famous for this Sanctuary are the Sting Rays that are all over the place. Also abundant are large Groupers, schools of Jacks and an occasional Turtle. This Sanctuary covers as much of the different species found in the Visayas Seas. Excellent for 2 dives. Keep an eye out on the Trigger fish.
Is another house Reef of Tambuli Beach Resort in the middle of Mactan island's East side with one of the only original white Sand Beaches in Mactan. A favorite for Night Diving, Tambuli Reef also is a Drop Off with a sunken Plane Wreck that Divers enjoy going to. The current makes you drift along the rest of the other resorts. Always a good Dive.
World Class Dive with mostly Advanced Certified Divers recommended here because of the swift currents and is a 30 meter drop to the top of the cave. On the entrance you can see a few small Tombstones and crosses of Divers that had accidents here in the past. The cave entrance is a huge dome and as you ascend it forks out into 2 veins. Flashlights needed after 5 meters into the cave. This cave is known for it's Flashlight Fish that glow when you turn your lamps off. After the cave you exit into the front of Plantation Bay Resort where you will find a lush garden of Corals with all the variety fish around you. A perfect place for a stop before ascending.
Dive Malapascua
Located 200 kms. North of Cebu City, it is a 3 hour coastal Scenic drive passing through Sugar Cane Fields that Northern Cebu is known for. Upon arrival at Maya Port, Ferries bring you to the resort Island of Malapascua meaning Bad Christmas or Bad Easter depending on what Spanish meaning you prefer.
Malapascua is a small island with the main Beach facing the South. Stretched White Sand Beach surround the island and presently because of it’s popularity Resorts have sprung up all over the island. At night the stars come out and the Beach is lined up with little Bars and Restaurants to choose from.
Fun n Sun Dive shop is located at Dano Beach Resort with the finest White Sand Beach. Our experienced Staff will take you to an unforgetable Dive Vacation with early morning Thresher Shark Dives at Monad Shoal and afternoon dives with Giant Mantas. A 2 dive Gato Island Dive is a must with the experience of seeing big Nurse Sharks resting under boulders and sightings of rare fishes for Photograhers. The Blue ring Octopus, the Golden Seahorse and the Flambouyant Cuttle fish are one of the favorite sightings here. Another must is a day trip to Kalanggaman Island approx an hour boat ride south. This spectacular island with its strtched sand bar is a breath taking sight. A protected reef provides with a coralbed with all the tropical fishes you want to see. It’s waters are crystal clear and photography of the ocean life and the islands is something you have to bring back with you.
Other advanced dive spots are Kimud Shoal for early morning Hammerhead sightings and the Dona Marilyn wreck about an hour away also from Malapascua. Another experience that you need to experience is the sunset dive as you watch mandarin fish mate in the twilight and eventually turns into a night dive with all sorts of night marine creatures coming out.

Diving in the underwater paradise of Bohol
is located 30 nautical Miles from Mactan, Cebu. Made famous to Divers for the school of Hammerhead sightings in the 80’s and early 90’s, Cabilao now has started again as a top Divers choice for a Dive Trip. Though few resorts on the island, Cabilao can easily be reached by Fun n Sun Dive Boats departing from our private Dock in Mactan. Departure time is usually an hour and a half and the various divespots are frequently visited:
Lighthouse point – is a wall dive that produces a SHELF AT 35 METERS that Garden Eels are seen. Cabilao is full of Soft Corals and Napoleon Wrasse are seen at this point. Towards the Northern corner of the Point a new Wall appears after the shelf and a fresh new Coral Formation appears. A huge Turtle usually stays in this part of the Reef. Schools of Barracuda and Jacks are a frequent sight. Occasionally Tuna and Mackarel also are seen. At the wall Pygmy Seahorse are seen mixed with the giant sea ferns and all the different Marine Life can be seen at Cabilao. An Under water Camera is a must if you dive Cabilao. Strong Current occurs on certain times of the day so advanced level is recommended at this point.
Talisay Point – located towards the northern tip half of the island, Talisay Point is a fantastic Wall Dive thet produces several coves and Sea Ferns. Also part of the Northern area of the island, Marine Life is also abundant in this area.
Resort Wall – this dive site faces the island of Cebu and is in front of the 2 resorts of the island. This wall stretches out a long way and all Tropical fishes can be seen here. Occasionally a school odf Hammerheads are sighted in this area, including Threshers and even Whale Sharks. The shallow Portion is only 10 meters and is full of soft Coral and all the Aquatic animals known in the Tropics may be seen here. Great for snorkeling also. The current has to be watched out for on full moon period.
Southern Crack – at the southern point of the island, this area is protected by a Marine Sanctuary and Lush Coral can be seen here. The drop off produces a spectacular wall with caves and crevices as you pass along the wall. White tip sharks are seen inside some of the crevices.
Approx. 50 Nautical Miles from Mactan, Cebu. This island has a Resort run by Philippine Tourism Authority and has a Dive shop and restaurant. Rooms are simple but comfortable. This island has one of the best Dive Spots in the Visayas seas. Also schools of Dolhins and even Pilot and Sperm Whales are sighted on certain seasons. The island is circular and all the dive spots are marked with Bouys and the most famous Dive is Black Forest, only a nice 25meter drop off but the abundance of Fish, eels, Turtles and crustaceans are seen here. Black Forest is located in the eatern side of the island. In front of the resort is the house drop off and is only a 30 yards from the Beach. Schools of jacks are a favorite site here. This faces the western side of the island. There is Cathedral point and sanctuary point also that schools of big Barracudas pass through most of the dive sites of this island. Crystal clear waters and Lush corals cover the sea Bed of this island. Also a favorite for underwater Photography.
